PORTVILLE - Anelia M. Sallazzo 84 of 74 Portville-Ceres Rd. and a former Bolivar resident passed away Wednesday September 24, 2014 in the Olean General Hospital following a brief illness. Born July 30, 1930 in Olean she was the daughter of Vittorio and Domenica Migliorelli Perugini. She married Vincent Sallazzo on June 3, 1950 in Olean, Mr. Sallazzo survives.

Anelia was a graduate of the Olean High School class of 1948. She was employed by the New York Telephone Co. as an operator in the Bolivar office in the early 1960s. After the Bolivar office closed she moved to the Olean office until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church Olean, and the pioneers club of Olean. An avid crafter Anelia enjoyed decorating wedding cakes, flower arranging and enjoyed cooking Italian dishes for her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Teresa (Henry) Krakat of Portville, Mick (Alice) Sallazzo of Portville and Patrick Sallazzo of Portville. Also surviving are six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one sister Dina (Robert) Clarke of Olean and one Sister-in-law Helen Perugini of Olean. She was preceded in death by a brother Angelo Perugini and a sister Armeda Bailey.

There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday September 29, 2014 at 11 A.M. in the Sacred Heart Oratory Portville with Fr. Gregory Dobson as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery Allegany.

Memorial to the Genesis House Box 139 Olean N.Y. 14760 would be appreciated by the family.
