Jack Morrison
1931-2016
LITTLE GENESEE - Jack B. Morrison 85 of 8158 Main St. passed away Saturday November 12, 2016 at the
Hart Comfort House Wellsville following a lengthy illness. Born May 25, 1931 in Wellsville he was
the son of Emmett and Mildred Barnes Morrison. Jack married R. Marge Gardner on September 3, 1950
in Petrolia. Mrs. Morrison preceded him in death on January 5, 2006.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. Jack was self-employed in the local oil fields
and the logging industry. He was employed by the former Clark Brothers Co. later Dresser Rand Co. in Olean
for thirty-seven years retiring on December 19, 1993. He was a member of the Bolivar United Methodist Church
and a life member of the Bolivar Fire Dept.
Surviving are two sons: Gary (Diane) Morrison, Little Genesee and Brian (Jackie) Morrison Bolivar. Also
surviving are five grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a
brother Richard Morrison and two sisters Ruth Moses and Betty West.
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Wednesday from 10am – 12 Noon.
Funeral and comital services will be held following visitation at 12 noon. Rev. Darrel Ost and Rev. David
Herne of the Heritage AFlame Ministries will co-officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery
Wellsville.
