BOLIVAR Loving Grandmother
Marjorie D. Colley 84 of 7253 Kossuth Road passed away Thursday November 7,
2013 in the Manor Care Center following a lengthy illness. Born on December 17,
1928 in Shinglehouse, Pa. she was the daughter of Richard and Ruth Jackson
Presher. She married Lawrence Kalkhof in 1949; he preceded her in death on
January 27, 1980. In 1982 Marjorie married Louis Colley, who preceded her in
death January 18, 1999.
She was a graduate of the Bolivar Central School Class of 1947. Marjorie was
employed by Appleby’s Grocery Store in Bolivar for 18 years and later owned and
operated Margie’s Department Store in Bolivar, retiring in 1977.
Surviving are one stepson, Raymond (Mary) Colley Bolivar; four stepdaughters,
Beth Baker Ciaburro of Meridan CT, Barb Baker of Jacksons Gap AL, Diana Baker of
Berlin CT and Debbie Fenner of Norwich CT. Also surviving are two
grandchildren, Trevor and Brevin; two sisters, Betty Whipple of Olean and Janet
Herne of Bolivar; two half-sisters, Jeanne (Kerry) Nice of Winter Garden FL &
Christina (Kim) McNeil of Eldred Pa; one half brother, James (Marcia) Presher of
Laconia NH and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents she was
preceded in death by a sister Shirley Conway 1991 and her stepmother Ruth
Moses.
There will be no prior public visitation. Private family funeral services will be held
in the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar. Mr. James Presher will officiate. Burial
will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
