BOLIVAR - Beverly A. Charles of 8234 County Rt. 5C passed away Monday February 10, 2014 in the Absolut of Allegany following a lengthy illness. Born December 11, 1937 in Allegany, she was the daughter of Gerald & Charlotte Russell Farr Sr. She married Donald Charles on May 1, 1981 in Portville, Mr. Charles survives. Bev was a graduate of the Allegany Central School class of 1955. Bev was a former employee of Olean Wholesale Co. and Dresser Rand Co. Wellsville. She also gave basic piano lesions to many area children. She was a member of the Allegany First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son Paul (Julie) Becker Duke Center PA. One daughter Cathy (Lyle) Busbey of Palmer Alaska. One stepson Randy (Robin) Charles of Kernersville NC. Two stepdaughters Susan (Paul) Gerstenberger of Aiken SC Robin (Brad) Steel of Conroe TX. Fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One brother Gerald (Nancy) Farr Jr. of Olean. Two stepbrothers Russell (Sarah)Herron of Allegany, David (Janice)Herron of Syracuse and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother David Farr.

Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Thursday February13 , 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Funeral and committal services will be held at the funeral home Friday February 14,2014 at 11A.M. Rev. John Woodring pastor of the Allegany First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Bowler Memorial Cemetery Little Genesee NY.
