Cecile V. O’Connor
1913-2014
BOLIVAR - Cecile V. O’Connor 101 formerly of 85 Olive Street passed away Wednesday December 3, 2014 in the Highland
Park Care Center Wellsville, following a brief illness. She was born October 16, 1913 in Clarksville N.Y.
She was the daughter of John and Mattie German Hamilton. Cecile attended Portville Elementary School and graduated
from the Cuba Central School. She was employed as a waitress at the Sugar Bowl, Maxson’s and Clark Restaurants in
Bolivar. She was a custodian at the Bolivar Post Office for many years. Cecile owned and operated an aviary for
canaries in her home and she loved her dogs and family. She was a member of the Bolivar United Methodist Church
and Bolivar 4C’s Senior Citizens Club.
Surviving are a sister-in-law Kathleen Hamilton Olean and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters; Ida Farrell, Lydia Sherman and Esther Campbell and one brother Mark Hamilton.
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Saturday December 6, 2014 from 11A.M.-1P.M.
Funeral and committal services will follow at 1P.M. Pastor John Boll will officiate. Burial will be in Maple
Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
