Ivan L. "Lew" Feely
1929-2014
BOLIVAR - Ivan L. "Lew" Feely 85 of 200 Olive St. passed away on Thursday March 20, 2014 at home following a brief illness.
Born January 8, 1929 in Wirt N.Y. he was the son of Merle and Frances Roper Feely. He married Phyllis Parker McKay on
February 14, 1969; Mrs. Feely preceded him in death on June 17, 2010.
Lew was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the South Pacific; he was awarded the W.W.II Victory Medal. He was employed
by the former McGraw Edison Co. Olean for many years retiring in 1991. Lew was a member of the Kenyon Andrus Post 772
American Legion Bolivar, was an avid New York Yankee and Buffalo Bills Fan, fisherman and was a longtime season ticket
holder to St. Bonaventure Men’s Basketball.
Surviving are nine children; John Feely of Bolivar, Brenda ( Tom ) Robinson of Richburg, Melinda Burkhart South Carolina,
Paula (Ken) Dillard South Carolina, Michael ( Cherry) Feely of Bolivar, Tom ( Linda) Feely Florida, Tim Feely of Olean,
Barry(Sherri ) McKay Florida, Scott McKay of Rochester. Also surviving are twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren
and one great great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Jean Feely.
There will be no public visitation. Private family Memorial Services will be held on Saturday March 22, 2014 in the
Schaffner Funeral Home Inc., Bolivar. Rev. David Herne of the Heritage Aflame Ministries will officiate.
Burial will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
