Lewis A. "Arnie" Pettit
1929-2014
BOLIVAR - Lewis A. "Arnie" Pettit 85 of 6984 Beers Hollow Road passed away Wednesday April 9, 2014 in the Highland Park
Nursing Facility in Wellsville following a lengthy illness. Born on February 18, 1929 in Olean, he was the son of Lewis
and Hazel Jordan Pettit. He married the former Joan McKay on February 11, 1957 in South Dayton N.Y. Mrs. Pettit survives.
Arnie was a self-employed mason in the Bolivar area for many years and was a member of the Faith Bible Church in Little Genesee.
Surviving in addition to his wife are nine children; Ron (DeLisa) Pettit of Smithville TX., Kim (Pat) Torrey of Bolivar,
Andrea Pettit of Bolivar, Barbara (Curtis) Burdick of Little Genesee, Mike (Patsy) Pettit of Little Genesee, Linda (John)
Innamorato of Bolivar, Shawn (Rebecca) Pettit of Bolivar, Frank (April) Pettit of Little Genesee and Pamela (Donald) Colerick
of Little Genesee. Also surviving are forty grandchildren, fifty-six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two children, Judy Feller in 1990 and Arthur Pettit in 2005; two brothers, Donald Pettit,
Duncan Pettit and one infant sister.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held on Monday April 14, 2014 at 11A.M. in the Faith Bible Church
Little Genesee N.Y. with Pastor Clint Pearsall officiating. Burial will in Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. in Bolivar.
