Christine “Chrissie” Marie Mosher
1967-2015
PORTVILLE - Christine “Chrissie” Marie Mosher, 48, of 27 North Main Street in Portville went to be with
the Lord on Friday, June 19th surrounded by her many loving family members after a length and
courageous battle with cancer. Born February 12, 1967 in Tulsa, OK, Chrissie is the daughter of
Raymond and Margaret Tower Mosher. She is survived by her parents as well as 7 sisters and 6
brothers.
Chrissie attended school at Richburg Central until her freshman year at which time she transferred to
Archbishop Walsh High School in Olean, NY, where she graduated in 1985. Upon graduation, Chrissie
enrolled in SUNY Brockport where she majored in mathematics.
Enjoying the warm weather of the south, Chrissie moved to Atlanta, GA in 1990 where she was
employed for many years at Pharmor Corporation as a clerk supervisor. She continued to live in Georgia
until 2002 when she decided to move back to Allegany County to be closer to her parents and family.
Chrissie loved professional sports and was particularly fond of NASCAR and NFL football. She enjoyed
participating in sports and one her proudest accomplishments was a completion of the annual “Run for
fun up Stone Mountain” in Stone Mountain, GA. Whenever she wasn’t working or participating in sports
herself, she would often be found gardening, reading or simply listening to her favorite country music
bands. Christine’s sense of humor showed through everything she did and her patience was an
inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Chrissie has a wonderful spirit for giving to others as
evidenced by her daily volunteer work at the Olean Red Cross. Even after receiving her diagnosis of
cancer, she continued to assist in the blood drives for several years thereafter, while at the same time,
earning a degree in Medical Technology from Jamestown Community College.
She is survived by her parents Raymond and Margaret “Peggy” Mosher, Richburg, NY. She is also
survived by 7 sisters; Madonna (David) Pierce, Mt. Vernon, OH; Monica (Ervin) Smith, Bolivar, NY;
Margaret (William) Cowles, Russellville, AK; Regina (Tim) Caterino, Claremore, OK; Grace (Cole) Dailey,
