David A. Holmes
1966-2015
OLEAN - David A. Holmes, 49 of 111 North Clinton St. passed away Saturday April 4, 2015 at home
following a brief illness. Born February 17, 1966 in Olean he was the son of Herbert G. and Jennie Holmes.
David was employed by Burns Security Co. Olean, and the Kwik Fill in Weston Mills. He was also
a volunteer at the Warming House Olean.
Surviving are his mother Jennie Mix of Bolivar, three Brothers; Herbert C. “Spike” (Tamie) Holmes of
Friendship, Richard G. Holmes of Ceres and Ronald H. (Karen) Holmes of Little Genesee. Also surviving
are one stepbrother Gary (Hellen) Mix of Junction City, Kansas and three nephews. He was preceded in
death by his father Herbert G. Holmes and his stepfather John E. Mix.
There will be no prior visitation. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Burial will be in Farmersville Cemetery.
