Lorraine P. Barnes
1925-2015
BOLIVAR - Lorraine P. Barnes 89 formerly of 8006 Barnes Road and a former Richburg resident passed away Wednesday
January 7, 2015 in the Highland Park Care Center in Wellsville following a lengthy illness. Born July 16, 1925 in
Olean she was the daughter of Philip and Nellie Sharp Jones. She married Francis G. Barnes on July 13, 1943 in
Ridgewood N.J. Mr. Barnes preceded her in death on August 8, 2010.
Lorraine was a former employee of the Allegany Co. Health Dept. She was a member of the Trilby Rebecca Lodge Bolivar.
Surviving are Two Sons, Philip (Shirley) Barnes Richburg and James (Susan) Barnes Little Genesee. Two Daughters
Gayle (Ron) Dunmire Friendship, Diana (Greg) Mosher of Channahon Ill. Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren,
twenty-eight great-grandchildren and three nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson Gregory Mosher and a
brother Richard Jones.
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Saturday January 10, 2015 from 12 noon to 1PM.
A memorial service will follow visitation at 1PM. Pastor Clint Pearsall of Faith Bible Church Little Genesee
will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
Memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
