Ralph A. Bean
1964-2015
BOLIVAR - Ralph A. Bean 51 of 63 Prospect St. passed away Thursday October 29, 2015 in the Jones
Memorial Hospital Wellsville, following a lengthy illness. Born January 14, 1964 in Cuba N.Y. he was the
son of Howard & Sharon Schultz Bean.
Ralph was a graduate of the Richburg Central School class of 1983. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp.
from 1983-1990. Ralph had been employed at Pine Grove Collision in Bolivar for the past fifteen years.
He was a member of Kenyon Andrus Post 772 American Legion Bolivar. He enjoyed hunting, cars, going
to camp with family and friends and spending time with Nancy.
Surviving are: his companion of eight years Nancy Childs Bolivar; his mother Sharon Bean of Friendship
and one son Jeff Bean Lewiston, Maine. Also surviving are: three stepchildren, Bobbi Lutes Bolivar, Allen
Childs Savannah GA and Kristopher (Whitnee) Childs Kansas; one grandson, Jeffrey Bean; three step
grandchildren, Kya and Kaitlyn Lutes and Konner Childs; three sisters, Karen Martin Friendship, Wendy
Rich Bolivar and Mandy (Mike) Phelps Addison NY; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by his father Howard Bean and a brother-in-law Richard Rich.
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Tuesday November 3, 2015 from 2-5P.M.
Funeral services will be held following visitation at 5P.M. Sgt. Chaplin Allen Childs U.S. Army will
officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Bolivar.
Memorials to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
