Elizabeth A. “Betty” Richter
1931-2016
Clarence - Elizabeth A. “Betty” Richter of 4520 Ransom Road and a former Little Genesee resident passed away on
Saturday December 31, 2016 in the Brothers of Mercy Nursing Home following a brief illness. Betty was
born on April 26, 1931 in Buffalo. She was the daughter of Frank and Florence Cyman Wojtczak. She
married Edward J. Richter in October 1950 in Cheektowaga. Mr. Richter preceded her in death on
November 7, 1994.
She owned and operated the Herb Basket in Little Genesee for many years prior to her retirement.
Betty was an active volunteer at the Bolivar Food Pantry and the Little Genesee Library. She was a
member of St. Mary’s Church Bolivar and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving are two sons, Edward (Diane) Richter Marilla, James F. Richter Little Genesee and one
daughter Billie M. (Steven) Price Lockport. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren,
one sister Marie (Richard) Schmitt Little Genesee, one brother Thomas Wojtczak Angola and
several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Michael, John, Frank, and
Joseph Wojtczak.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial be celebrated on Saturday January 14, 2017 at St. Mary’s Church
Bolivar at 10 A.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Bolivar.

Box 180, Little Genesee, NY 14754 would be appreciated by the family.
