Jerry J. “Cody” Codispoti
1929-2016
BOLIVAR - Jerry J. “Cody” Codispoti, 87 of 59 Belmont St. passed away Sunday November 13, 2016 at
Elderwood Hornell Nursing Facility following a brief illness. Born August 31, 1929 in San Andria Italy he
was the son of Bruno and Catherine Saraco Codispoti. Jerry married Eva Pascucci on June 21, 1958 in
Olean. Mrs. Codispoti preceded him in death on January 1, 1985.
He was a graduate of the Bolivar Central School class of 1949. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army. Jerry
was employed as a foreman for the former Worthington Co. later Dresser Rand Co in Wellsville retiring
on September 1, 1987. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church Bolivar, Life member of Kenyon Andrus
Post 772 American Legion Bolivar, a member of over fifty years of the Bolivar Country Club and was
known near and far as an avid golfer. Surviving are two brothers, James (Lois) Codispoti Rye NY and
Robert (Patricia) Codispoti Almond NY. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and grandnieces
and grandnephews.
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Thursday from 4-7P.M. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday November 19, 2016 at 11A.M. in St. Mary’s Church Bolivar.
Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery Bolivar.
