C. Karl Erwin 87 of 351 Main Street joined his loving wife of sixty-six years in heaven on Monday
November 21, 2016. He was born on June 10, 1929 in Bolivar he was the son of Harry L. and Elsie Scott
Erwin. Karl married Teresa Nobles on December 4, 1948 in Allentown, NY; Mrs. Erwin preceded him in
death on October 9, 2014.
Karl was employed by Dresser-Rand Co. Wellsville for over twenty-seven years retiring in 1991.
Memberships include the Bolivar United Methodist Church, Life member of the Bolivar Fire Department,
Macedonia Lodge 258 F &AM Bolivar and the4Cs Senior Citizens Club Bolivar.
Surviving are one son Douglas (Evie) Erwin Bolivar, three daughters, Jerelyn (Edward) Reisman Portville,
Patricia (Tom) McElheny Bolivar, Deborah (David) Sisson Bolivar. Also surviving are fourteen
grandchildren and twenty-three great grand-children, one brother William Erwin Rochester and several
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother Harry Erwin and one sister Jean Perry.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 26, 2016 at 11A.M. in the Bolivar United Methodist
Church. Pastor Richard Hurd will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
