Bruce M. Benjamin 67 formally of 54 Friendship St. passed away Tuesday August 22, 2017 in the Absolut
of Houghton following a lengthy illness. Born July 28, 1950 in Boise Idaho, he was the son of Howard
and Martha Hackett Benjamin.
Surviving are four brothers, Paul Tar Rapidan, VA, Lawrence (Linda) Benjamin Sr. Friendship,
David Benjamin Sr of Florida and Doug Benjamin; three sisters, Veronica Champlin Olean,
Mary Benjamin Olean, and Christine (Floyd) Roberts Byron NY. Also surviving are several
nieces and nephews including a special niece Sherry (William) Dolph Jr. Cuba who served
as a caregiver for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Joyce Shutt.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 26, 2017 at 1 P.M. in the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc.
Bolivar. Pastor Ben Ramirez of Faith Bible Church Little Genesee will officiate. Burial will be in the
Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
