Alfred J. Cowell Sr. 75 of 401 Alder Street passed away on Saturday June 23, 2018 at home following a
lengthy illness. Born December 11, 1942 in Sayre, PA he was the son of Ernest and Anna Mae Vanderpool
Cowell. Alfred was employed in the construction industry with various area companies.
Surviving are three children; Anna Scott, Helen Cooley, both of Vero Beach FL and Alfred (Rose Chapman)
Cowell Friendship. Also surviving are five grandchildren including Allen Cowell and two greatgrandchildren,
one brother Norman (Jeanie) Cowell Bolivar and two sisters, Diane (Doc) Morrison Little
Genesee and Darlene Hall of Cuba. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 30, 2018 at 11 AM in the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc.
Bolivar. Rev. David Herne of the Heritage AFlame Ministries will officiate.
