Arlene E. Wilhelm 87 of 11837 Broadway passed away on Sunday August 19, 2018 in the Elderwood
Nursing Home Amherst following a lengthy illness. Born July 25, 1931 in Buffalo she was the daughter of
Otto and Edna Kraft Schlitch. She married Ronald Wilhelm on May 23, 1953. Mr. Wilhelm preceded her in
death on March 20, 2017.
Arlene was a graduate of the Alden High School and Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing. She received
her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from University of Buffalo and received her Master’s Degree in Nurse
Practitioner from the University of Colorado at Denver in 1985. Arlene was employed as a Nurse
Practitioner for the Akron, NY School District for many years. Arlene was a member of the Town Line
Lutheran Church and served on the church council.
Surviving are a brother-in-law Richard (JoAnn) Wilhelm of Friendship and one niece Lynette (William)
Hughes of Pelham, AL. She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law; Lisa and Robert Behn,
two grandchildren; Jordan and Morgan Behn and her sister-in- Law Lillian Woulk.
A Memorial service will be held On Wednesday August 29, 2018 at 11 A.M. in the Town Line Lutheran
Church Alden NY. Pastor Serena Mollenkopf-Grill will officiate. Burial will be in Town Line Lutheran
Cemetery.
