Christopher D. Lyman, 47, of 2405 Dimick Road, passed away Monday (Oct. 22, 2018) in Strong Memorial
Hospital in Rochester as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born Dec. 13, 1970 in
Wellsville, he was the son of Kenneth and Joan Burdick Lyman. On Aug. 26, 1995, in Richburg, Chris
married the former Ginger Armstrong. Mrs. Lyman survives.
Chris was a graduate of Bolivar Central School, Class of 1989, and received an associate's degree as an
electronics technician from Alfred State College. He had been employed as an activation technician for
Century Link in Coudersport, PA for over 20 years. Chris enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing and riding
his motorcycle.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Davin (Jamie) Lyman of Portville, Mackenzie Lyman of
Richburg and Ridge Potter of Wellsville; three grandchildren, Luna and Oliver Lyman and Xavier Potter;
father, Kenneth Lyman of Friendship; three sisters, Dawn (Kevin Wallace) Freeman of Friendship, Roxanne
Lyman and Tina Lyman, both of Canton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by his mother, Joan Lyman, in 2005; and father-in-law, Roy Armstrong.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 27, 2018) at the Obi Community Church. Pastor
David Cook will be officiating. Memorials may be made to the Bolivar Fire Department Ambulance Fund,
