Doris W. Woodard 90 of 128 North Main Street passed away on Thursday August 2, 2018 in the Cuba
Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born December 8, 1927 in Guelph Ontario Canada, she was
the daughter of Rance and Wilda Barnette Teeter. Doris married John Woodard on July 2, 1966 in Bolivar.
Mr. Woodard preceded her in death on June 29, 1995.
Doris was employed by Acme Electric Co. Cuba for many years. Her memberships include Bolivar
Fireman’s Auxiliary for sixty one years, Allegany County Fireman’s Auxiliary, Southwestern New York
Fireman’s Auxiliary serving as current president and New York State Ladies Fireman’s Auxiliary.
Surviving are one son Robert (Sue) Sexton, Bruceton TN, one daughter Sandra (Ralph) Butler Carolina
Shores NC, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Eileen Lutgen
Westfield NY, Linda (Bill) Garwood Montana and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death
by two brothers, William Teeter and Cecil Teeter.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial
will be in Maple Grove Cemetery Friendship. Memorials may be made to Fireman’s Home on the Hudson,
125 Harry Howard Avenue, Hudson NY 12534.
