Robert N. Blauvelt 65 of 8393 Rt. 417W, passed away on Sunday November 4, 2018 in the Veterans
Administration Hospital Buffalo following a brief illness. Born on July 3, 1953 in Elmira, he was the son of
Wayne and Maybelle Cummins Blauvelt. He married the former Michelle Scott on March 22, 1975 in
Bolivar, Mrs. Blauvelt survives.
Bob was a graduate of Bolivar Central School class of 1971. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving
from 1971-73 in Berlin Germany. He was employed by Dresser Rand Co. Olean as an assembler for thirtyeight
years, retiring in 2011. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 616 Olean, Bolivar
Horseshoe League, enjoyed woodworking and four wheeling.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Dane Blauvelt Fort Mitchell KY and Drew (Carolyn Rhodes)
Blauvelt Bolivar; three granddaughters, Hannah, Jennah and Savannah; two brothers Bill (Millie) Blauvelt
Shinglehouse PA and Cliff (Judy) Blauvelt Las Vegas NV; two sisters, Marion (Richard) Ferrari Rochester
and Sue Stives Bolivar and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers,
Wayne and Les Blauvelt.
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Saturday November 10, 2018 from 1-2P.M.
A memorial service will follow visitation at 2 P.M. Rev. David Herne of the Heritage AFlame Ministries will
officiate.
