Lawrence W. Benjamin 74 of 7349 County Road 1 passed away on Saturday April 27, 2019 in the Highland
Park Care Center Wellsville following a lengthy illness. Born on August 24, 1944 in Bradford PA, he was
the son of Howard and Martha Hackett Benjamin. Larry married Linda Garey on January 4, 1984 in Olean,
Mrs. Benjamin survives.
Larry was employed as a truck driver for SDS Disposal prior to his retirement. He loved stock car racing,
and working on old cars and trucks.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters; Christine Benjamin Little Valley and Traci Benjamin
Wellsville; three grandchildren; three sisters; Bonnie Chapman Olean, Mary Elliott Olean and Chris
Roberts Byron and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, David
Benjamin, Bruce Benjamin, Richard Tarr, Douglas Benjamin and one sister, Joyce Shutt.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held in the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc.
Bolivar on Friday May 3, 2019 at 11 A.M. Pastor Edward Elling will officiate.
