Ellen Margaret “Peg” Guinnip 94 a former resident of 587 South Main Street currently residing at Manor
Hills Adult Assisted Living Facility passed away on Monday April 19, 2021 at Manor Hills
following a lengthy illness.
Peg was born of July 1, 1926 in Ballynahinch County Down Northern Ireland; she was the daughter of
Samuel and Ellen Brown Carlisle. She married Winfield Guinnip who preceded her in death on December
2, 1975.
Peg was a fixture on Main Street at Dunn’s Drug Store where she was employed for many years. She was
member of Bolivar United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two children, Ellen l. Gardner Bothell WA and W. Carlisle (Paula) Guinnip. Also surviving are
five grandchildren and one sister; several special friends, Sherry Guinnip Wellsville, Doug (Cece) Root Lake
Placid FL, Bud Wittenburg Bolivar and Dr. James (Mary) Kilpatrick Richmond VA.
There will be no prior visitation or service. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
