Francis L. Dimpfl 88 of 129 Olean Street passed away on Thursday December 16, 2021 in the Jones
Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born on March 20, 1933 in Buffalo he was the son of Francis G.
and Gladys Law Dimpfl. He married Julia Lovell on April 4, 1975 in Olean. Mrs. Dimpfl preceded him in
death on November 22, 2018.
Francis was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1953-1955. Francis was formally employed by
Sylvania Electric Company Buffalo. Francis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints Olean.
Surviving are five children, Kenneth E. Morris Salamanca, Rose (Rick Holmes) Carpenter, Gladys M. Dimpfl,
Francis G. Dimpfl all of Bolivar and Paul K. Dimpfl Wellsville; twelve grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren;
three brothers, Donald (Marilyn) Dimpfl, Robert (Joyce) Dimpfl and Kenneth Dimpfl; one
sister Barbara (Richard) McAllister and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four
children, Francis L. Dimpfl, Robert Dimpfl, Leroy G. Dimpfl, and Julia P. Dimpfl and one brother, Paul K.
Dimpfl.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 8, 2022 in the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1935 Windfall Road, Olean NY.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar.
