Sharon B. Evingham
1946-2021
Sharon B. Evingham 74 of 335 County Rd. 33 passed away on Friday July 9, 2021 at Strong Memorial
Hospital Rochester, NY. Born on July 21, 1946 in Bradford, PA she was the daughter of Rex and
Madeline Dake Baker.
Sharon married Stanley Evingham on March 16, 1967 in Shinglehouse, PA. Mr. Evingham survives.
Sharon was a graduate and valedictorian of the class of 1964 at Oswayo Valley High School. She
received an Associate degree in Business from Olean Business Institute. Sharon was employed by
Richardson and Stout Insurance Co. from 1984-2004, she also was a bookkeeper for Willard L. Simon
DDS Cuba and Gus Rigas Wellsville. Sharon served as a councilman for the Town of Bolivar from 1999 to
the time of her death and was a volunteer at Jones Memorial Hospital Wellsville for seventeen years.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three children; Sonya (Jim) Ingalls Orchard Park NY, Scott
(Danielle) Evingham Olean and Shawn (Davina) Evingham Bolivar. Also surviving are eleven
grandchildren, one great-grandson, one sister Laurie Fuller Shinglehouse, PA and one nephew Jim
Pesock Shinglehouse, PA.
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Thursday July 15, 2021 from 1-4 P.M.
Memorial services will follow at 4 P.M. Pastor Roy Elliott will officiate. A reception for family and friends
will be held at the Bolivar Country Club following the Memorial Service.
