Sharon A. Leonard 76 of 8113 Willow Brook Road passed away on Monday November 22, 2021 at home following a lengthy illness. Born on January 15, 1945 in Little Genesee she was the daughter of Neuire and Edna Marsh Lewis. Sharon married James Leonard on July 3, 1965 in Olean, Mr. Leonard Survives.

Sharon was a graduate of Whitesville Central School class of 1963. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Brockport in 1967 and received her Master’s degree in education from St. Bonaventure University. Sharon started her teaching career teaching elementary education at Whitesville Central School for one year. She then was employed by the Bolivar Central School, later Bolivar-Richburg Central School as an elementary teacher for many years, retiring in 2000. Sharon was a member of the Red Hat Society, she coached girls softball at Bolivar Central School for two years, she was a former president of CSEA Teachers Union at Bolivar Central School and served as a Councilman on the Village of Richburg Board.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Jammie (Tom) Swanson Hamlin NY, Pelle (Jerry) Ayers LeRoy NY and Tara Leonard Spencerport NY; six grandchildren, Josh, Brent, Megan, Drew, Kate and Ty; one brother Art (Karen) Lewis Sharon PA; three sisters, Kathryn “Pudge” (Jim) Webster Oberlin Ohio, Beverly Morris Little Genesee and Cindy (Fred) Unverdorben Portville and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Russell, Steve, and Jerry Lewis and two sisters Susie Lewis and Norma Kellogg.

There will be no visitation. Memorial Services will be held at a later date to be announced.
