Connie L. Jordan 89 of 550 Gibson Dr. SW and a former Bolivar resident passed away on Tuesday
February 22, 2022 at the Hospice of Union Co. Monroe N.C. following a lengthy illness. Born on
November 1, 1932 in Allentown N.Y. she was the daughter of Neil L. and Doris Allen Oliver. Connie
married Lavern Jordan on October 4, 1952 in Weisbaden Germany; Mr. Jordan preceded her in death on
January 26, 2001.
Connie was the store supervisor for the former J.J. Newberry Dept. Store Wellsville for twenty years,
retiring in 1993. Connie attended the Bolivar United Methodist Church. She was a member of Kenyon
Andrus Post 772 American Legion Bolivar.
Surviving are three sons, Tracy Jordan Bolivar, Randy (Tillie) Jordan Concord NC and Garry (Lisa) Jordan
Lincoln DE; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ted Oliver Olean, Lance
(Rosalie) Oliver Cohoes NY and Wade (MiCha) Oliver San Benito TX; three sisters, Barbara Rigby Endicott
NY, Nancy Thompson Cuba and Joy Ames Cuba and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Friday March 4, 2022 from 4-6 P.M.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 5, 2022 at 11 A.M. in the Bolivar United Methodist
Church. Elva Cornell pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
