Martha A. Pieklo

Martha A. Pieklo 81 of 75 Kincaid Street and a former Salamanca resident passed away on Saturday
January 22, 2022 at home following a lengthy illness. Born on November 25, 1940 in Olean she was the
daughter of Oran and Laura Iva Strong Walters. Martha married John F. McLaughlin Jr. in Salamanca; Mr.
McLaughlin preceded her in death 1979. Later Martha married Joseph W. Pieklo who preceded her in
death in 2013.
While living in Salamanca Martha enjoyed working out with friends. She also had great times visiting
children and grandchildren, and traveling.
Surviving are four children, Terrie (Bill) Frazier Salamanca, Cathy (Richard Kerr) Skiver Westfield PA, John
(Jody) McLaughlin Bolivar and Tammy (John) Lichy Salamanca; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three
great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; five stepchildren, Bob, Janet, Sharon, Mary and Barb
and a son-in-law James Geddes Onaville. She was preceded in death by two children, Sherrie Geddes and
and Toni McLaughlin; four brothers, Paul, Jack, Hector and Bob Walter; two sisters, Hazel and Frances.
There will be no prior visitation. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the
family. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery Salamanca.
