George F. “Sac” Green
1951-2023
BolivarGeorge F. “Sac” Green 71 of 351 Main Street passed away on Sunday January 15, 2023 in the F.F. Thompson Hospital
Canandaigua following a lengthy illness. Born on September 16, 1951 in Olean, he was the son of George A. and
Frances White Green.
Sac was a graduate of the Bolivar Central School class of 1970. He was employed by Hahn & Schaffner Inc. Bolivar
as a machinist and truck driver for many years prior to his retirement. Sac was a life member of the Bolivar Fire
Department. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and New York Yankee Fan..
Sac enjoyed working with puzzles and many of them were framed. Many of the framed puzzles are hanging in places
the public can enjoy, such as the Bolivar Manor, Highland Health Care Center in Wellsville and others.
Surviving are one sister, Romaine (Gerald) Bonney Bolivar; two children, Sebrina Brownell Olean and Chad Brownell
Bolivar and loving companion Patricia Williams Bolivar; eight grandchildren; one niece Deborah Scholla and one
nephew Jeff (Deann) Bonney; one grandniece and two grandnephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters, Ashley and Devon Brownell..
Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar on Tuesday January 24, 2023 from 12 Noon- 2 P.M.
Funeral services will follow visitation with Rev. David Herne of the Heritage AFlame Ministries Bolivar officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery Bolivar.
