William L. Darling: Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather
William L. Darling, 86, of 7764 State Route 417W, Bolivar, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at home with family by his side.
He was born on May 25, 1937, in Franklinville, New York and raised by his Unlce and Aunt Herford and Louise Storm. On February 3, 1962,
in the Bolivar United Methodist Church he married the former Charlotte R. Greene who survives.
Bill was a graduate of Richburg Central Schools Class of 1955. He then served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany from
July 5, 1955 until June 23, 1958.
He had worked as a machinist and inspector for Dresser Rand Industries in Olean for 37 years. In retirement he worked in maintenance
for five years at Camp Rushford for the NYS DEC.
He was a member and past president of the Richburg Rod and Gun Club and Wellsville Rod and Gun Club. He loved shooting skeet and trap,
hunting pheasant with his Brittany Spaniel dogs Tiffany and Tammy and his lifelong friend who was like the brother he never had, Simon
Rende. When his sons were young he coached the Red Sox little league team.

Ft. Myers, Fl., Michael Darling, South Carolina, and Nicholas Darling, Allentown
Great Grandchildren Trey Weitzel, Vinny Weitzel, Ford Whitford, Stella Whitford.
In addition to his aunt and uncle, he was predeceased by a son Michael Darling on October 20, 2009.
At his request there will be no services.
Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Bolivar.
Memorials may be made to the Richburg Rod and Gun Club or to the Wellsville Rod and Gun Club.
